FERNAND PINEAU (1925 - 2006) It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden but peaceful passing of Fernand Pineau, at the age of 81 years, with his family by his side at the Taché Nursing Centre, on Wednesday, October 25, 2006. Il laisse dans le deuil Huguette (Fillion), sa chère femme de 44 ans, et ses trois enfants, Nicole (Ron), Gérald (Pam) et Diane (Daniel). Il manquera beaucoup à ses sept petits-enfants, Mélanie, Josée, Eric, Danica, Joël, Jérémie et Chantale. Il laisse aussi son frère Adelme (Louise), bon nombre de beaux-frères et de belles-soeurs, de neveux et de nièces, ainsi que plusieurs cousins, cousines et amis. Fernand a été précédé par ses parents, Arthur et Lucie (Proulx), son frère Léonard et sa soeur Germaine. Fern was born in St. Anaclet, Quebec, and at the age of two years, moved to Otterburne, MB. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping and travelling, and in later years, watching his grandchildren grow. We will forever remember him by his kindness and his generosity towards everyone around him. Fern's loving smile and his laughter will remain filled in our hearts forever. Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Coates and the dedicated staff on the 5th floor at the Taché Nursing Centre for the care and kindness shown to our beloved husband and father. Special thanks to family and friends for their support and prayers. Prayers will be held on Sunday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, October 30 at 1:30 p.m. with viewing at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Cathedral. Private interment will take place at the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fernand's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba. On t'aime beaucoup papa; tu nous manqueras beaucoup.
